Open Question: Can I get my money back?

Hi there, I have purchased some hair straighteners from a woman online and since transferring the money to the account details she gave me, guess what, no straighteners and no reply to my emails. The woman only advertises through a windows live account where you can view what she has to sell, but she mainly relies on word of mouth which is where we heard about her. I don't feel like this is a con as my girlfriend has successfully bought things from her in the past.
